Landreth’s Stringless beans

Landreth’s Stringless beans is an open-pollinated, heirloom variety with 55 days maturity. The pods of ‘Landreth’s Stringless’ beans are green in color, round in cross-section, about five inches long, slightly curved, meaty and tasty, tender and nearly fiberless borne on twenty-inch tall, sturdy and erect plants. This very old variety was originally introduced in 1885 by the old Landreth Seed Company. Nitrogen-fixer in the soil – chop up plant and work it back into the soil. Approximately 84 seeds per ounce or 1,350 seeds per pound.
